SolarCity가 효율 22.04%이고 전력이 355W인 PV 모듈(1.61×1.81 m)을 개발했다. 이 모듈은 roof-top PV 시장에서 ‘next big thing’이 될 것이다.
SolarCity의 모듈은 Silevo의 tunneling junction 셀로 만들었다.
(Cu metallization과 스트링 연결 기술이 셀에서 스트링으로 손실이 적은 저가격 고효율 모듈을 가능하게 한다.)
SolarCity는 2015년 10월 내에 Silicon Valley에 있는 100 MW pilot line에서 이 모듈을 소량 생산할 예정이다.
